Terms of Refund

TaskCentro is committed to protecting both clients and service providers. These terms govern all refund and cancellation requests made on the platform.

Effective: 2026 TaskCentro Services Limited Lusaka, Zambia

All parties are expected to act in good faith and communicate transparently throughout any engagement. These terms apply to all refund and cancellation requests made on the TaskCentro platform.

1

Failure to Commence

If a Service Provider fails to commence the project within the agreed start time, a one (1) hour grace period will automatically be granted to allow for unforeseen delays. Should the Service Provider still fail to begin work within this grace period, the Client shall become immediately and unconditionally entitled to a full refund of all funds held in escrow.

Automatic refund: No dispute or escalation is required to trigger this right — TaskCentro will process the refund automatically upon verification of non-commencement within the prescribed timeframe.
2

Project Not Completed Within Agreed Timeframe

Projects or contracts not completed within the agreed delivery timeframe are eligible for an automatic refund of escrowed funds. The service provider is responsible for proactively communicating any delays before the deadline lapses.

To request a delivery extension, the provider must notify the client through the TaskCentro platform prior to the deadline and obtain the client's written consent.

Failure to notify the client before the deadline forfeits the provider's right to contest a refund request.
3

Provider Cancels Without Mutual Agreement

If a service provider cancels a project or contract unilaterally without the prior written consent of the client or a mutual agreement documented on the platform, the client shall be entitled to a full refund of all escrowed funds.

Repeated unilateral cancellations by a provider may result in account suspension or permanent removal from the platform.
4

Work Already Commenced — Partial Payment Entitlement

Where a client cancels a contract after a service provider has demonstrably commenced work on a project, the provider retains the right to request partial payment proportional to the scope of work completed.

  • The provider must submit evidence of work done through the platform.
  • TaskCentro reserves the right to mediate and determine a fair payment amount in the event of a dispute between both parties.
TaskCentro acts as a neutral mediator in all disputes and reserves the right to make final determinations where mutual resolution cannot be reached.
5

Journey Commenced After Contract — Automatic 25% Retention

Where a client cancels a contract after a service provider has already embarked on the journey following contract confirmation, the service provider shall be entitled to an automatic 25% retention of the contract value.

Definition: "Embarking on the journey" means the service provider has either requested a ride via a car-hailing service, ignited the motor vehicle, or ignited the motor bike in order to travel to the client.

Processing Time

All approved refunds are processed within 5–7 business days. TaskCentro acts as a neutral mediator in all disputes and reserves the right to make final determinations where mutual resolution cannot be reached.

These terms are subject to change at any time; users will be notified of any updates via email or in-platform notification.
